Manual Therapy (Massage)

Manual Therapy is a “hands on” approach to treating various physical conditions.  We provide various forms of manual therapy such as:

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage releases chronic muscular tension, improves circulation, increases joint flexibility, reduces mental fatigue and stress, promotes faster healing of injured tissues, improves posture, and reduces blood pressure.  Some of the added benefits of therapeutic massage are better sleep, improved concentration, reduced anxiety, and an increased overall sense of well-being.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a hands-on approach that involves “listening with the fingers” to the body’s subtle rhythms and any patterns of restriction. The emphasis of treatment is to encourage and enhance the body’s own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities.

Pregnancy Massage

Relaxing and therapeutic pregnancy massage is useful for alleviating the “aches and pains” of pregnancy. Excellent for insuring good blood supply to the fetus, proper fetal positioning for delivery, and a more comfortable pregnancy and labor.  Treatments during the last few weeks of pregnancy have shown to significantly reduce the amount of time a woman spends in labor.

At Acupuncture Northwest and Associates, we use an assortment of techniques to assist our patients with their reproductive needs:
