Meet Us


Our office has over half of all of Washington State’s nationally certified fertility acupuncturists (ABORM).  We continue to learn and grow in this ever progressing field of fertility enhancement.  We work with the local fertility clinics. They all know Acupuncture Northwest and if you are trying to have a baby, you should too.

We are a team of:

Welcome to Acupuncture Northwest!  I’m glad that you have found us.  Below is a bit about our practice, myself and how we came to be.  I moved back to the Pacific Northwest after getting my Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico and doing post-graduate work in Hang Zhou, P.R. China.

I knew that I wanted to be downtown but I wasn’t sure where, so I started looking.  I soon found a wonderful office in the Medical Dental Building.  There was only one problem, it was big!  It had 5 treatment rooms and I was only one practitioner, who hadn’t started her practice yet!  I decided to take the space anyway, and Acupuncture Northwest was born in early 2000.

In the beginning, I spent lots of time getting to know the other people in the building, treating patients and also doing volunteer acupuncture at the Pike Market Medical Clinic.  By April of 2002, the first big acupuncture fertility study came out.  Within a month a patient had called me to see if I could do the fertility acupuncture protocol outlined in the study.   She came in before and after her IVF transfer and she got pregnant.  What a great feeling that was!  I could get used to this!  It was then that I began my fertility acupuncture specialty in earnest.   I began doing more and more fertility acupuncture, working with the fertility clinics to provide before and after IVF treatments as well as treating patients who didn’t want to use western medicine or were told that it could not help them.  Men started to come to the practice for fertility enhancement as well. 

And then in early 2004, I got a call from the Seattle Times.  They were doing an article on acupuncture and fertility and would I mind being interviewed for the article.  Sure.  And then Evening Magazine.  OK. 

Since then we have grown to include more acupuncturists, two locations (Seattle and Tacoma) and have also been featured in Seattle Magazine, KOMO 4 news, South Sound Magazine and Alternative Medicine Magazine.  We have had various articles published in Family Building Magazine (a national publication of RESOLVE ) and we have spoken to the Seattle OB/GYN Society, numerous fertility clinics and countless other venues.  We have been on panels and given lectures at many RESOLVE conferences and continue to be a local leader for fertility enhancement acupuncture in the Puget Sound region.
