Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist and Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine

Susan Darling, (LAc, Dipl.OM, NCCAOM, FABORM) is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), licensed by the state of Washington and nationally certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Susan earned her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. She also studied acupuncture and Chinese herbology specializing in gynecology at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Shu Guan Hospital in the People’s Republic of China.  
 
Susan has studied with fertility specialists: Dr. Randine Lewis, author of “The Infertility Cure” and director of Fertile Soul Retreats; Dr. Mike Berkley, founder and executive director of The Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness in New York City. Dr. Berkley specializes in the “East meets West” theory of developing comprehensive treatment plans from both Western and TCM perspectives; Dr. Daoshing Ni, author of “The Tao of Infertility” and co-founder of Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a member of Washington Acupuncture and Asian Medicine Assoiciation (WAAMA). 
 
Susan has studied Five Element acupuncture with Lonny Jarrett, author of “Nourishing Destiny, The Inner Tradition of Chinese Medicine”. By combining these two styles of Chinese medicine and theory, she can help restore balance on a myriad of energetic levels. Prior to joining Acupuncture Northwest & Associates, Susan worked with gynecology, fertility and pregnancy patients in private practice since 2005. She also has training in tai chi and qi gong and has taught tai chi.
 
In addition to practicing at Acupuncture Northwest & Associates, she is on the staff of the Bastyr Chinese herb dispensary overseeing students during their herbal training.
