Casey Gellermann McSweyn

Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist

Casey specializes in women's reproductive health and fertility enhancement. Over the past five years her treatments have expanded and evolved based on the ways in which eastern and western medicine are now working together. In 2005, Casey worked at Seattle Reproductive Medicine with women undergoing IVF and continues to work in collaboration with reproductive endocrinologists throughout the Northwest. Over the last three years she has completed post-graduate training with fertility specialists Peter Deadman, Bob Flaws, Randine Lewis, author of "The Infertility Cure.", Angela Hywood, and Jane Lyttleton, author of “The Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine”.

Casey holds a Master's degree of Acupuncture from The Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) where she studied gynecology and obstetrics from both a western and eastern perspective. After graduating in 2003 she began a private practice specializing in women’s health, then joined the Acupuncture Northwest and Associates team in 2005. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Washington and is also board certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Acupuncturists. In addition, Casey has training in herbal medicine, yoga, Qi Gong, Acutonics, and Shiatsu massage.

Casey began her study of Chinese Medicine after receiving acupuncture for over three years and discovering its profound healing benefits first hand. Her experience as a patient brings greater depth to her philosophy and abilities as a practitioner. Casey has been published in "Family Building Magazine", the quarterly publication of RESOLVE, the national infertility support group and has been a lecturer at their annual Washington conference. She has also held lectures at the Seattle OB/GYN group at Swedish Medical Center and Brenneke Massage School. You can also find several of her articles in the Acupuncture Northwest and Associates Newsletter.

Casey was born and raised in Seattle. Outside the office she enjoys surfing, sailing, and spending time with her family.
