Since 1949, we have been honoring national mental health month as a month to raise awareness on issues related to mental health. This year’s theme is “Live Your Life Well” with a special emphasis on raising awareness around children’s mental health. There are several wonderful websites such as and where you can take a survery to see if you might be suffering from anxiety, depression, stress and other disorders that affect and perhaps limit our day to day life. These websites offer information, self-help tools and referrals, if you are wanting to connect with a mental health professional.
While many adults and children struggle through difficult times, if certain behaviors persist for an extended amount of time and are robbing you of your joy for life and ability to connect with others-please reach out.  There are many levels of help available.
